How does Total Property Assist work?

We'll fix your property damage to the highest standards with minimum disruption to you and your family. You'll have one point of contact and support throughout, who will be on hand to answer all your questions and keep you regularly updated on progress. Here's a brief overview of the property damage claim process:

1

Initial meeting & damage and repair report

A professional loss assessor will meet with you at a time to suit you to discuss how best to manage your claim. Once you have instructed that person to manage the claim on your behalf, they will assess the damage to your property and compile an in-depth damage and repair report which will be submitted to your property insurance company.

2

Managing your claim

Your dedicated loss assessor will deal with all communications relating to your claim, including attending all onsite meetings with necessary specialists or representatives of the insurer.

3

Negotiation with your insurer

Your loss assessor will negotiate your claim to achieve the best possible outcome on your behalf. Due to a number of factors this stage can vary in time length is highly dependent on the complexity of your claim and the insurer's internal procedures.

4

Settlement and agreement to begin the repair work

Once settlement is agreed and your excess that your insurer requires has been paid, your dedicated loss assessor will meet with you to discuss the agreed works and a convenient date for the works to commence.

5

Fully vetted contractors assigned

Only quality, experienced, vetted tradespeople will be appointed to complete the repair work.

6

Your dedicated loss assessor will project manage the repair work

The repair works will commence on the pre-agreed date and will be project managed right through to completion, keeping you fully informed every step of the way.

7

Sign off and feedback

Your feedback and satisfaction are of paramount importance and therefore, upon completion of the work, you will be met onsite so that you can inspect and, if you are happy, sign off on the completed works..
